Authoritative parents (those who understand the proper role of authority) set up proactive expectations for their children – not just lines that children must not cross, but also expectations that children will grow in goodness and virtue. This is just one lesson from the Embrace Parenthood program for Catholic adults. Embrace Parenthood teaches the eight foundations of good Catholic parenting. It is intended for all parents, but especially for parents of younger children.
